A Message from Our Co-Chairs

On behalf of the more than 35,000 Postal Employees, Federal Government Workers and Military personnel in Northern New Jersey, we are pleased and honored to serve as the Chairpersons for this year's 2009-2010 Combined Federal Campaign in Northern New Jersey.

For more than 45 years, New Jersey's federal employees have participated in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and, together, we know first hand that it is because of your support that our family, friends and communities continue to grow and prosper. Each year we return to this worthwhile cause and we work hard to build on last year's success. We rally together as a community and champion a commitment to contribute to positive change, for a better world. We believe everyone can make a difference and we have faith in their support. This year, more than ever, we know people will want to help.

To the World You May Be Just One Person, But to One Person, You May Be the World.

The Combined Federal Campaign is the only program authorized to solicit employees in the Federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations. Federal employees donate their time and efforts so that every employee becomes aware of just how easy it is to give. Our Loaned Executives, Key Workers and Volunteers help co-workers understand that it is the individual employee who decides where their charitable contributions are applied. Individual employees support the organizations and causes that mean the most to them and the CFC helps facilitate their contributions via an easy-to-use payroll deduction plan or collection of their lump sum contribution.

Last year, the Northern New Jersey CFC raised over $1.6 million to fimd more than 1,500 charitable organizations throughout the world, to include many in our backyard. Donated dollars supported our military personnel and their families; brought relief to those affected by natural disasters, provided counseling services for those in need or found new treatments for chronic and fatal diseases like diabetes and cancer.

This year the need for programs and services continues to grow and. with your help and continued support, we are confident the campaign will again be successful. The 2009-2010 CFC will not be without its challenges, but we know we can and must prevail.
